Sarah McCabe is a Canadian violist and composer based in London, England.  She specializes in contemporary classical viola music and has premièred many works by composers both in Canada and England.  Sarah also is a songwriter and performs original music for voice and viola under the name HENDRA.  You can also find her as @violamadness

Sarah McCabe is a Toronto-born artist and educator now based in London, England. She is currently Head of Education and Curriculum Development for the non-profit educational organisation ‘Be the Band,’ and serves as the Interim Course Director at the Pro Corda Young String Experience Chamber Music Program. She is finishing an MPhil Guildhall School of Music and Drama, focusing on songwriting as a means of social outreach. 

Under the artist name Hendra, she set to release her debut album in 2024, generously supported by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. It has been produced by Daniel Ledwell and featuring Jenn Grant and For The Tide. The video album will be directed by Jasperi Wirtanen featuring dancer Anna Dunlop. Sarah graduated with her MMUS in Viola Performance from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2017.

Sarah graduated with her MMUS in Viola Performance from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2017, and her BMUS from Acadia University in 2014. Sarah currently lives in London, in a house full of a rotating cast of artistic creatives. She has two unofficial cats named Gizmo and Fudge.
